Malcolm Taw, M.D., F.A.C.P., is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine, Department of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He joined the Center in March, 2000 and had received his B.S. and M.D. from the Joint Biomedical Sciences program at the University of California, Riverside and the UCLA School of Medicine. Dr. Taw completed his residency at the UCLA-San Fernando Valley Program, his fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Center, the NIH-supported K30 Program in Translational Investigation at UCLA and a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine. He is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Oriental Medicine, Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. In collaboration with the UCLA Division of Head and Neck Surgery, he is currently a co-investigator on a prospective study evaluating the effectiveness of integrative East-West medicine to improve outcomes in patients with refractory chronic rhinosinusitis. He also serves as a committee member on Complementary/Integrative Medicine for the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head & Neck Surgery Foundation.
