Medicare Patients: In one calendar year, Medicare will cover only 12 patient visits with trigger point injections. The patient will be responsible for any additional visits.

HMO Patients: A referral from your primary care physician is required.

PPO Patients: A referral is not required, but insurance plans vary as to what services, and how many, they cover.
