Therapies offered at the Center, which is now in its tenth year, include medication adjustments, trigger point injections, acupuncture, acupressure, therapeutic massage, herbal medicine consultation, nutrition, dietary supplements, stress management, lifestyle recommendations, qi-gong and tai-chi exercise, as well as patient education.

"We teach patients to be their own first line of defense against illness," says Dr.Hui, emphasizing that numerous factors lead to ill health. " A chronic medical condition means your body is not able to heal itself, and years of treatments may actually mask the root of the problem. Restoring balance and functional reserve, we can improve conditions such as headaches, chronic pain, fibromyalgia, degenerative arthritis, sports and overuse injuries, intolerance to medications or surgery, and cancer-related symptoms."

---UCLA Healthcare, VitalSigns No.29, Summer 2003

The majority of our patients are referred by their physicians for a variety of symptoms and conditions. We regualrly treat those patients with especially challenging health problems at the Clinic. Many suffer from painful and often chronic conditions such as soft tissue pain (especially in the neck, back, shoulder, hip, and knee), fibromyalgia, neuralgia, spinal stenosis, shingles, osteoarthritis, degenerative arthritis, interstitial cystitis, women's health issues, migraines and headaches, and even anxiety.
