Fellowship Training
Two-year post-residency Fellowship in Integrative East-West Medicine for MD
Our fellowship program, based at the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine, provides advanced training in integrative medicine, a blending of both western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The program is designed for individuals who have already been board-certified in Internal Medicine and other specialties. The first year focuses on clinical training and practice, and the second year focuses on integrating research, teaching, and more advanced clinical training.
The fellowship program intends to train outstanding teachers and clinicians to lead the field of integrative medicine. We expect our fellows to become future leaders that can direct integrative medicine programs at other institutions and will participate in policy making for the future healthcare system.
The program interacts with other medical disciplines to provide a complete learning experience in both Eastern and Western healing traditions. Fellows have the unique opportunity for self-directed growth and exploration in integrating TCM and Western medicine.
