Nurse Practitioner Fellowship
Over the two-year span of the fellowship, the Nurse Practitioner will be introduced to integrative East-West medicine, an innovative approach to healthcare developed at our Center, which comprises the judicious incorporation of the best of Traditional Chinese Medicine and conventional care, with an emphasis on a biopsychosocial approach to health and disease and a sharp focus on disease prevention and health promotion. Content will be delivered primarily via clinical training but didactic and self-study components will play important roles as well. Clinical training will occur in the CEWM clinic three days a week. One to two days each week will be devoted to related educational activities. Didactic and self-study components will be directed primarily by Center faculty. Other opportunities for fellows include participation in and presentation at relevant meetings and conferences as well as prominent roles in teaching medical students, residents, and nurses on rotation.
