The Wallis Annenberg Endowed Chair

In March 2005, the Annenberg foundation granted $2,000,000 to establish The Wallis Annenberg Endowed Chair in Integrative East-West Medicine and to strengthen the basis of the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine.

Making your gift

At the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine, our focus is on improving the health and quality of life of our patients. We strive to advance the field of East-West integrative medicine by establishing innovative clinical, research and educational programs as well as by expanding our programs internationally. Only through the support of our patients and friends can the Center succeed in these areas. You may wish to designate your gift to any of these areas or mark your gift “unrestricted,” allowing the Center to apply it where it is needed most. All gifts to the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law.

Checks should be made payable to:
The UCLA Foundation, Fund #6695
and mailed to:

There are still many other ways to make a gift to the UCLA Center for East-West Medicine. A member of the development staff would welcome the opportunity to talk with you about the exciting things happening at our center today. The following outlines some of the ways you can make a contribution.

Contributing by Credit Card

Gifts can be made by credit card. To charge your gift to your American Express, MasterCard or Visa, please call our Administrative Office at (310) 206-0370 or you may contribute online using this form.

Making a Pledge

Pledges are gifts made over a period of years (up to five years). We can assist you to establish a regular gift schedule.

Creating a Tribute or Memorial Gift for Friends and Family

You may honor loved ones, friends and colleagues or celebrate family events, such as an anniversary or birthday with a contribution. A memorial gift is a thoughtful way of paying tribute to someone who has touched your life. Send your gift to the Center and include the name and address of the honoree or the address of their family. We will send a personal letter informing them of your generous gift.

Using Stocks, Bonds or Property to Make a Gift

Donating appreciated property may enable you to avoid paying capital gains and receive an income tax deduction.

Bequests Through a Will or Living Trust

A gift through a will or living trust (bequest) is a popular way to provide significant long-term support. It may be especially advantageous to leave some assets, such as retirement funds, to a charity. You may give a specific dollar amount, a specific property, or a percentage of your estate. You may also make a gift of the residue or “what’s left” of your estate after providing for your loved ones.

Matching Gifts

Many corporations match or multiply their employees’ gifts to a non-profit, up to a set amount. Please consult your company’s personnel department for further information.

If you have any questions, please contact Diana Tonsich, Ph.D. at (310) 206-0370.

Thank you for your support. We are making a different at the Center for East-West Medicine.
