A week filled with academic and public events organized by members of CCIM to

• Showcase the scope and diversity of clinical, education and research programs in Integrative Medicine among UCLA CCIM centers;
• Highlight some of the accomplishment in research and therapeutic approaches among CCIM members;
• Advance the public’s awareness of the increasing research evidence of Integrative Medicine as well as its potential in solving the current health care crisis; and

The events of the week will range from research symposia, public education programs, to exhibits and demonstrations. The high point of the week will be marked by a day-long CCIM Conference on Wednesday, February 3 to be bookended by two major research symposia: one on Pancreatic Diseases (February 2) and the other on Neurobiology of Stress (February 4).

The CCIM Conference will open at 8:00 a.m. with an introductory overview and two thematic presentations:

• Mind-body Awareness and
• TCM and Integrative Medicine

There will be a keynote speech at lunch followed by experiential sessions to demonstrate and teach mind-body exercises such as yoga, Tai Chi, massage, and meditation. In addition, there will be exhibitions and poster sessions.
